Do your stickers come with a backscore?

Yes, standard sticker orders on our laser sticker materials come with a score back, a slit in the backing paper that makes the sticker easy to peel. Orders with Back Paper Print and sheet products use a backing without score so the surface is uninterrupted.

What to know about backscore

A backscore (also called score back, back slit or crack-back) is a cut in the backing paper that lets you bend the liner and peel the sticker off more easily. You can read more about the term in our Dictionary.

When you get a backscore

  • Standard sticker orders: our laser sticker materials come with score back as an easy-peel feature, for example on Die-cut Stickers.

When you don't

  • Back Paper Print orders: the backing has no score, so your print on the back stays whole.

  • Sheet products such as Sticker Sheets: the backing is kept whole.

  • Labels: they peel easily without it, so score back isn't used.

  • Decals: score back is currently not available.

Easy peeling without a backscore

Kiss-cut Stickers and sticker sheets are cut through the sticker only, and the backing around the edge makes them easy to peel. If easy peeling is important for your project, contact us before you order and we'll help you pick the best option.
