How do I make sure my sticker has the right border colour?
Let your background colour run to the edge of the sticker, or extend your artwork at least 2 mm (0.075 in) past the cutline as bleed. You can also include your own cutline to control the shape.
Getting the border colour right
If you don't want a white border, or want a border in a specific colour, you can set it up in your file. You have three options.
1. Use a background colour to the edge
Choose a background colour that runs all the way to the edges of your design. Then the whole sticker surface is covered and no white shows.
2. Add bleed
Extend your artwork at least 2 mm (0.075 in) past the cutline. This bleed covers small variations in cutting, so the design reaches all the way to the edge.
3. Include your own cutline
Add your own cutline to the artwork to define the exact shape and size of the sticker, and the border around your design. See how to make your own cutlines or if a thinner border is possible.
On materials like Holographic and Brushed Aluminium, the border shows the material's effect unless you print a colour on it. If you need help with your artwork, bleed or cutline, contact our support team.
