Not all stickers are built to swim.
So, Is This Waterproof? Let’s Talk Stickers vs. Splash Zones
Not all stickers are built for battle. Some survive five dishwasher cycles like champions. Others crumble after one rogue rainstorm.
We get it - choosing the right material can feel like guesswork. That’s why we tested, soaked, and judged our sticker lineup so you don’t have to. Below, you’ll find examples of which materials can handle a little moisture… and which ones should probably stick to dry land.
Whether you’re slapping stickers on bottles, boards, or bathtubs (hey, we don’t judge), we’ve got the lowdown on what holds up.
Glossy Vinyl: Certified Splash-Proof
This one’s the overachiever of the group. It’s water-resistant, dishwasher-safe, and basically laughs in the face of moisture. Ideal for bottles, mugs, shower tile, and yes - your emotional support hydroflask.
Verdict: Waterproof AND dishwasher-safe
Recommended for: Bottles, outdoor gear, chaotic kitchens

Kraft Paper: Earthy, Textured, Definitely Not Waterproof
We love a good natural vibe - but let’s be real, Kraft is not here for water. This uncoated, unlaminated material is all about that raw, recycled look, which also means it’ll soak up moisture like a sponge. Great for packaging and journals. Not so great for puddles or dishwashers.
Verdict: Not water-resistant. Keep it dry.
Recommended for: Eco branding, paper goods, surfaces far from sinks

Holographic: Looks Fragile. Actually a Beast.
Don’t let the shiny fool you. Holo stickers are as tough as they are flashy. With the right laminate (glossy, always), they can survive a beach trip, a wet backpack, and your friend’s overenthusiastic bottle rinse.
Verdict: Waterproof with style
Recommended for: Bottles, skateboards, public bathrooms

Matte Mirror: Reflective, But a Little Sensitive
Matte mirror’s got the look - all the drama of metallic, toned down with a smooth, anti-glare finish. But when it comes to water, it’s a little less battle-ready than its glossy counterpart. It’ll survive a splash or two, but daily dishwashing? Not its thing.
Verdict: Water-resistant, but not dishwasher-proof
Recommended for: Notebooks, branding, gentle hands and dry surfaces
