How do I set up my file for a sticker sheet?

A correctly prepared file gives you accurate printing, consistent colours and cutlines that we can read. Here is what your sticker sheet file needs.

File formats

We accept PDF, PNG, JPEG, SVG, TIF, AI and PSD.

• PDF and AI are preferred, because they keep vector graphics sharp at any size

• PNG and JPEG work if they are high resolution

• PNG and PDF can handle transparency, JPEG cannot

• Remove hidden or unused layers before exporting PNG or JPEG. In PDF and AI files you can use separate layers for custom effects, such as a white layer

Resolution

Use at least 300 DPI at the final print size.

• Upscaling a low-resolution image lowers the print quality

• Small text and thin lines need full 300 DPI to stay sharp

• Export raster designs at their original dimensions

Colour mode

Always work in CMYK so the colours print true to your design. Convert to CMYK before you save your PDF.

• RGB often looks brighter on screen, and an RGB file printed in CMYK may come out darker

• Metallic, holographic and transparent materials can change how colours look, depending on opacity settings

Cutlines

The cutlines define the kiss-cut shapes on the sheet.

• Stroke width: 1 pt

• Line style: solid

• Path: fully closed vector shape

• Colour: one clearly identifiable spot colour, usually 100% magenta

• At least 2 mm (0.075 in) from other cutlines and from the sheet edge

• Artwork extends into the bleed beyond the cutline

Transparency, layers and special elements

• Remove unused layers, unless it's a separate effect layer you want us to follow

• Flatten effects where possible

• Check that transparency behaves as expected, especially on clear materials

• Avoid low-opacity elements on top of cutlines

Text and vectors

• Convert all text to outlines before exporting

• Expand the appearance of complex vector effects

• Check for stray anchor points and overlapping paths

Exporting

• Export at 300 DPI

• Make sure the file matches the sheet size you chose

• Include the cutlines in the export

• Remove crop marks and printer's marks, they are not needed

• For PDF and AI, use "High Quality Print" or an equivalent export preset

Checklist

• Format: PDF, PNG, JPEG, SVG, TIF, AI or PSD

• Resolution: at least 300 DPI

• Colour: CMYK

• Cutlines: 1 pt, solid, closed, 100% magenta

• Spacing and bleed: follow the sticker sheet layout requirements
