What’s the deal with Weatherproof Stickers?
While our stickers are tough and durable, they're not invincible. We acknowledge that extreme conditions, like prolonged UV exposure or high temperatures, may eventually wear them down.
For example, car decals, outdoor signage, and other exposed applications will stay vibrant for up to 2-4 years outdoors, longer if kept indoors.
Weatherproof vs weather-resistant depends on expectations. Nothing can truly last forever under the harshest circumstances, but our stickers come impressively close.
Glossy laminate provides maximum protection
Glossy laminate stickers take protection up a notch. They fend off water and UV rays like pros, making them ideal for long-term outdoor use.
Matte laminate stickers, while also weather-resistant, don’t offer the same level of UV protection. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause them to fade faster, but they still look great in less extreme environments.
Some of our stickers, like Kraft paper and wall stickers, are better suited for more delicate conditions. Kraft stickers are uncoated, making them a no-go for wet environments. Wall stickers, similarly, don’t have significant protection from scratches or UV light, making them perfect for indoors but less suited for outdoor adventures.
Combine form and function
Choose special effects materials that last and look amazing. Make them smooth holographic, creative mirror or the classic white vinyl. To add durability, just steer clear of adding a matte finish, as the UV-resistance won’t be as good (they’ll still be waterproof though).
Durable waterproof materials
All of our vinyl materials (except wall stickers) are weatherproof and waterproof. Stick with our glossy finish for second-to-none durability.
But even though all our vinyls work, there is of course a weatherproof sticker champion – heavy duty - industrial strength. This material is extra thick and extra sticky, which means that it’ll endure even the most extreme conditions.
Tough stickers
Our weatherproof stickers can be made as die-cut, kiss-cut or sticker sheets. They work on just about anything. You can even run them through the dishwasher, and they’ll come out looking better than ever.
This doesn’t mean they can be applied to wet surfaces. Doing so kind of ruins the adhesive. Make sure the surface is clean and dry, and you’ll be good to go.
