Which materials can I choose for sticker sheets?

Sticker sheets come in the same materials as our other stickers, for example white vinyl, transparent, holographic, glitter and kraft paper. All stickers on one sheet share the same material, finish and adhesive. See Sticker Sheets.

Materials, properties and limitations

You can make sticker sheets in the same range of materials as individual stickers. All stickers on one sheet use the same material. Each material behaves differently in durability, appearance and how it handles different designs.

Available materials

All materials come with our standard permanent adhesive, unless noted below.

White vinyl

  • Opaque white base

  • Weather-resistant

  • Works well for detailed or colourful artwork

  • Glossy or matte laminate

Transparent

  • Clear base

  • The opacity of your artwork decides the final look

  • White ink can make areas opaque or leave selected areas see-through

  • Avoid tiny transparent details

Holographic

  • Reflective rainbow look

  • Artwork colours may shift slightly because of the reflective base

  • Works with large and small designs, in black and white or full colour

  • White ink is recommended for precise colour control

Glitter

  • Sparkly texture in the material

  • Fine details may look less sharp because of the texture

  • White ink is recommended under the artwork

Prismatic

  • Geometric reflective surface

  • The strong reflection can make small text harder to read

  • White ink can reduce the material effect

Mirror

  • Highly reflective, mirror-like metallic surface

  • Artwork contrast may look lower without white ink

  • Works for all designs, but bold, contrasting colours work best

Brushed aluminium

  • Brushed metallic texture

  • Semi-reflective with a visible distressed look

  • White ink can create opaque areas

  • Ultra-thin lines directly on metallic areas may not show because of the texture

Pixie Dust

  • Shimmery glitter effect with smaller particles than Glitter

  • White ink gives more accurate colours

Kraft paper

  • Brown paper base

  • The brown paper affects colours. A white layer gives sharper colours

  • Not water-resistant

  • Works well for rustic, earthy designs

Low-tack white vinyl

  • Removable, low-tack adhesive for temporary use

  • Prints like standard white vinyl

Hi-tack white vinyl

  • Extra-strong hi-tack adhesive for difficult surfaces

  • Not recommended for temporary use

Limitations for all materials

  • One material per sheet. All stickers on the sheet use the same material and finish. You can't mix materials on one sheet

  • Fine details. Reflective or textured materials (holographic, glitter, prismatic, brushed aluminium, mirror) can make small text and fine line work less clear

  • White ink (white layer). Gives opacity on non-white materials and improves readability and colour consistency. Depending on your design tool, you may need to include it in your file, but we're happy to add it for you. Just use the comment box when you order. See How to create white layers

  • Colour shift. Reflective or textured surfaces can slightly change how printed colours look

  • Durability. Vinyl and specialty materials are weather-resistant. Paper is not water-resistant and not recommended outdoors

How to choose

Think about how durable the stickers need to be, how opaque the colours should be, how fine your details are and how the surface texture works with your artwork. Read more in Choosing the right material for your stickers.
